Welcome to Wickham Bishops Drama Club!
About us
We are a friendly amateur theatre group located in Wickham Bishops, Essex that was founded back in 1928 meaning we were lucky enough to celebrate our 90th anniversary a few years ago. We aim to stage three productions a year including a pantomime, a spring play and a summer production - all of which take a huge amount of work by our dedicated cast and crew.
Where we are
We are very fortunate to rehearse and perform in Wickham Bishops Village Hall - this amazing facility has not only a big stage to perform on but also a well equipped lighting and sound room, on-site wardrobe and props store and large backstage space for dressing rooms. The hall has plenty of parking on site, free of charge.
Membership
As the club is continuing to grow, we are always looking for new members to be both on and off the stage. If you have a talent or a hobby, its likely we can find a place for it at WBDC. From acting to dancing, painting to sewing, set building to props making there will be something for you here. Memberships are paid annually in September (when we hold our AGM) and are currently £40.00 - this includes cover by our insurance.
